What do you do for a living? I'm a traveling nurse practitioner. And how much money do you make per year doing this? So I'm a 1099 contractor, so my income is uncapped. So I'll make anywhere between 200,000 dollars a year to 300,000 dollars a year. And how many years of experience do you have in this field? Five. And what type of education or background do you have? Tell us. I have my masters in nursing. And what made you want to become a nurse practitioner? What did you choose this route? Well, first and foremost, I'm a traveler. So the benefits is the housing and transportation that they give you as a contract. So I actually use those, those points and then I travel for free. So that's the benefit of it. And what is it exactly that you do? What's your role as an NP? So as an NP, I pretty much contract with different hospitals and clinical organizations. If they have low staffing needs, um, if it's a maternity leave coverage or FMLA coverage, or maybe like a new startup company, I will be the provider to see those patients. And what's the best part about your job? Something you really enjoy? The freedom. Like the freedom, the flexibility with it. I can make my own money. I can make it in many different ways. I also work remotely as a contractor. So it's just the freedom and flexibility to earn more money. And I have a business. So. Now, any advice you want to give to some people that want to become a nurse practitioner or make the money you do? Um, first and foremost, know the difference between 1099 contracting and W2 because there's a big difference in your income that way. And, um, definitely I have resources. Like I have a mentorship. I do free workshops, free training. I have a community and that's really going to help you get off the ground.
