I'm not sure why no one's been talking about these two new features coming to Apple Maps in iOS 26. The first is a much more conversational search which will allow you to type something like coffee shops with free Wi-Fi. The second thing is that Apple is now allowing your phone screen to turn off while Maps are running. This might not seem like a good thing, but it's helpful to prevent your phone from overheating. And sometimes you just don't want the screen on, especially if you're listening to the instructions over your car speakers. These two updates are small, but I think they'll be helpful.
