I go all over the world interviewing billionaires to help the younger generation... Can I interview you for a minute for the channel? How did you open up your first restaurant? Every banker in town so I knew I had to raise my own money. So I literally caught a plane to Anchorage, Alaska... Spent a month in a tent on the tundra before I got a job on a fishing boat. I spent that summer... Commercial fishing. Sockeye salmon in Alaska to raise money for Raising Cane's. Take me back to college... You had a class... Where you proposed chicken tenders as a and you got the lowest grade in the class... I did look I presented like the Bible on chicken fingers. But the professor gave it the worst because he said the plan was good... but the concept will never work. Just chicken fingers while other restaurants at the time were adding menu items... But you didn't listen to other people... If you're an entrepreneur... You use that as fuel. You can't do it. You get a chip on your shoulder. I will show you I'll do it. Now there's a lot of chicken finger restaurants... afraid of competition? This is... I mean more people that come up and try to do what I'm doing. Go for it. But you better be ready. Because no one's going to outwork me. No one's gonna care about their crew more. But you're worth over $20 billion... Are you still motivated? Man like day one... You know for me this is a purpose driven business. When you start your business you have this dream. For me was to have a great place serving great chicken and people enjoying themselves. So you never got complacent? Never will. Why not? Look I think God made me good at chicken fingers to help people... Right now if I'm worth $20 Billion... is going to go back to help people. What if I can turn that into... $40 Billion... $60 Billion... What if my kids can turn it into hundreds of billions of dollars that can really help people out there. My advice would be... Be good...
