the splitting expenses discourse is making me feel insane

Here's my take on the splitting expenses discourse. I don't have been inundated with the slide shows of people showing how they split their expenses with their partner. And any amount of splitting, 70/30, 50/50, 46, whatever the split is, the comments are crazy. Oh, so that's your roommate. That's not your man. May this love never find me. May this love never find me and you're referring to splitting expenses 50/50? Girl, you have a big storm coming. My only explanation for this is that the people leaving these comments are definitely 16 years old, definitely have never been outside, had a job, had to do anything in life because like the only way my husband and I can afford to live in our one bedroom apartment while we both have jobs is to split 50/50. Like that's life. Everybody that I know splits 50/50 with their partner. And we live in San Diego, it's an expensive city. But like, what the hell is going on? Like you got like everyone splits shit. We wouldn't be allowed, we wouldn't be able to survive if we didn't split shit.
