I was going to move on because I know that some people like really just are like hell bent on picking fights about masking. I just I was going to move on but something just happened to me on the bus that made me think I'm going to go back and reply to that comment. I was wearing my N95 mask on the bus today like I always do whenever I'm riding public transportation I always have a mask on because like honestly raw dogging that bus air is gross. I'm sitting on the bus sunglasses on mask on headphones in. There's a guy across sitting across from me on the bus when I get on who motions to me to take my headphone out and I'm like a friendly social girl and I like always assume that like if someone's motioning for me like masked up sunglasses on headphones on like they need to talk to me, right? I'm never just here to assume the worst in people. So I take my headphone out and the guy goes old ass guy he goes you know you don't have to wear all that, right? I put my headphone right back in. It's a comment not worthy of an answer but it made me laugh because I've heard from friends that I know who mask, people I've seen so many stories on this app about people getting harassed and like yelled at and confronted in public by strangers because they are wearing a mask. In 2025 you are more likely to be harassed in public for wearing a mask than not wearing a mask. I did check this person's reposts. I saw Jordan Peterson in there, um Megan Kelly. So I'm sure that this is falling on deaf ears and I'm sure that you like don't even believe in germ theory so like this really isn't for you commenter. People are so weird about masks because for the most part people are mad if you are wearing one. I as a mask wearer don't make anyone else wear a mask. I do it because it's comfortable for me. It is your choice to not wear a mask. It is my choice to wear a mask. That is why is that so hard? Nobody in 2025 is demanding that you are a mask in public. I know even in the bluest of states. I was in Portland last weekend, no one, no place, nowhere was demanding that people wear a mask. Every once in a while there was a store that it said masks optional and they had a a basket for you to take one if you so wanted. You were not being denied entry, you could do anything you wanted to without a mask and that's in Portland fucking Oregon. Shut the hell up about masks. If you don't want to wear one, don't wear one but don't pretend that you're being like persecuted and oppressed for for not wearing a mask, okay?
