I'm a founder who's raised over 1.5 million for her fashion tech startup and here are places where you can find some investors to raise money for your company. The first and I think best place to find investors is through other founders. I would try to join a community of founders whether it's in your city, in your industry. You can even come on TikTok and find founders that way. When we were starting out, we founded our company in Boston and we created a Slack group of other female founders in Boston. I think we met a lot of them through like meetups or you know, friends of friends. Um and that Slack group became a resource not just for investors, but for a lot of other things. That is how we got introductions to investors early on. The next way to find investors is to go to events where investors are at. Whether that's networking events for founders and investors, um, you know, startup pitch competitions, accelerator competitions, you know, happy hours, meetups. There are tons and tons of opportunities and events where investors are. Meeting someone in person is a really great way to get your foot in the door. We actually found one of our first angel investors at a pitch competition. I went to Babson College and they are kind of known for entrepreneurship, so they always have these pitch competitions. We signed up, we did a pitch, won second place and won $500 or something like that. And after the pitch, this investor came up to us, introduced himself. We ended up getting coffee the next week and he became one of our first angel investors. Now the last place that I'm going to suggest we have any, uh, experience in this, but I would say here on TikTok and even LinkedIn. I feel like in the last year or so, maybe it's been, but I'm I'm new to this. I've been seeing a lot of investors have TikToks and kind of commenting, you know, pitch me, uh, in my comments or like take a video and tag me, um, I feel like TikTok could be a place to meet investors, maybe not to get a check, but maybe to meet an investor, get some advice, add them to your investor newsletter and maybe something the future. Um, again, we didn't do this. TikTok was not around, um, when we started in the very early days. Um, but I feel like I see a lot of founders on here, a lot of investors on here. Um, so I would give that a shot as well.
