you, a smart discerning person who wants to have good quality creative ideas. me, a lady who stares at her screen all day, who's fried her brain on social media and has some advice. okay, now that you're listening, I'm gonna introduce you to a practice that I actually think will change your life. raw dog walks. I don't mean raw dog walks, I mean raw dog walks. so a raw dog walk is time and space for you to think without outside stimuli. the rules of a raw dog walk, and you need to do these things so that it works, is no phones. you can have it with you for safety reasons, but don't look at it and don't take any pictures. no notifications of any sort. so if you have a watch that can ping you, take that off. no headphones, no listening to podcasts, no listening to music. you have to take in your surroundings. I know that sounds extreme. destination doesn't matter, it's all about the journey. and the reason you're gonna do all of this is because it's some kind of hinting at mindfulness. I'm not an expert on that, but you need space in your brain. I'm gonna say almost quite literally to process all of the things you have put in it. all of the content you have consumed, all of the things you've read, all of the stories you've listened to, all of the work you've done. and that requires a sort of empty reservoir in your brain and you need to make that reservoir with a raw dog walk. it's also essential that you do this alone. so no walk and gab, no jog and chat, no stroll and yap. and I promise, if you do this like one to three times a week, I really do think your life will change and your creative output will skyrocket. you got this.
