I have been a licensed attorney for six years I have been a content creator for over a decade starting on YouTube in 2014. I always tell people it was so long ago you could just press monetization there was no followers there was no view requirement so I've been doing this for a long time. Um currently I own a consulting firm called The Legal Tea where we specifically specialize in helping creators with their contracts to make sure you get paid what you deserve and you get paid on time okay. And then recently I've launched a legal tech company called Social Docket we're essentially trying to bridge that gap even further between law and the creator economy to make sure that you have accessible and affordable legal education. And with that being said one of the number one things that I constantly see is that creators don't check what was negotiated in the email compared to the contract a lot of times those email negotiations child they don't include every single thing whether it's usage licensing etcetera so you wanna make sure that what was actually negotiated whether it's the rate or the deliverables actually match up to the contract.
