I made ~$130,000 from SWE internships My last video blew up. So I'm gonna tell you guys how I made $120,000 from software engineering internships and hackathons before I graduate from the university of Michigan. The first time I ever made money from hackathons or internships was from the Capital One Summit, which turned into a hackathon, which I won and I was gifted an iPad. And I sold the iPad for $500. Capital One Hackathon $500 After this I was given an opportunity to intern for Capital One for $49 an hour for 10 weeks. And I was salaried at 40 hours a week. And then they also supplied corporate housing, which they did put on my taxes, but I think that number was around like 35 to 40. I don't know where they got that number from cause I was only there for 10 weeks, but that's what they said. But I did live in a studio in Pentagon City in a high rise, So for the sake of the numbers, I'm just gonna say I earned $30,000 total from Capital One. Capital One Hackathon $500 Capital One Internship $30,000 After this I went on to J.P. Morgan Chase to win the code for good hackathon and I was given an OLED switch. At the time it was worth $500 dollars and I ended up keeping it and not selling it. Capital One Hackathon $500 Capital One Internship $30,000 JPMC Hackathon $500 My next internship was at Uber, where I made $51 dollars an hour for 12 weeks. This Puts me at around another 30 thousand dollars for the entire summer. I worked for Amazon for 12 weeks in Seattle, Washington. And I worked there for I think $52 dollars.
