4 skills you can beat AI at and how to learn them. So I've been a software engineer for seven years now. And these are the skills I'm focusing on this year that will still continue to give you a competitive advantage in the coming years. Number one is system design. You have to be able to make decisions, what you should optimize for, what your tradeoffs are, what you'll break if things scale, etc. And here's a great repository with a lot of good resources. Number two is product and UX thinking and user experience because AI can code, but it doesn't understand people and empathy and being able to spot friction and pain points is what humans are best at. And these are awesome resources. Number three is code security because we've been known, writing code does not always equal safe code. So spotting vulnerabilities, abuse cases or possible exploit paths still falls on you as an engineer. And here's a link to security lab. Number four is code reviewing because you'll be reading a lot of AI generated code. So you have to be able to critically give good feedback, catch issues, you know, the drill. And again, here's some awesome resources to get started. Hope these are useful. Save them, but actually check them out.
