Is this update diabolical?? This new update on Meta Ad Library adds this kind of diabolical... I'm not even totally sure how I feel about it yet. So let me just show you really quick. Inside of Ad Library, you can see all of the ads that an advertiser is currently running. But now these are sorted by impressions, which means that you can see which ads are getting the most spend and eyeballs, aka catalog ads. Like the Alo top performer. DPA aka catalog ads. Top performers from Ridge (not my client!) did not know rings were that huge for them! I checked a number of my clients' ad libraries today and uh, yeah, it's accurate. And you can even see like which ads are barely getting any spend at all. Low impression count. Top performers, by impressions from Honeylove (also not a client!) almost exclusively creator content! So this is obviously dope because we can go to our competitors, we can go to brands that we admire and actually see what is getting the most spend. But that also means that our competitors can do that to us. So, spotting trends, celebrity vs influencer, DPA, etc. Oh, did that campaign work? Let's see. Double checking top performing ads from agencies (if I'm feeling petty). The way that I was personally using it this morning is I was actually looking at a few really big brands and seeing what their distribution was between catalog ads versus business's usual video versus static. What do you think? Is this a little diabolical? Are you mad at it? Or do you think this is dope?
