From quitting my job to £100k/month. And I'm not saying this to brag, but because I literally couldn't stand one more day of someone telling me what to do. And honestly, that's the worst reason to start a business. So please have plans, have things in place. Don't just quit because your boss is winding you up. But that's exactly what happened for me. I started planning my escape and it worked. I was in a 9 to 5 working as an analyst in the public sector where my manager would just CC my manager's manager's manager on every bloody email just to make a point. And I'm sitting there thinking, I'm smart, I work hard, and I'm just here stuck. And don't get me wrong, I didn't want to talk to them anyway, but what am I doing here? One of my friends started telling me about how she was running this Airbnb business. She'd picked up two units, it was making a good amount of money for her every month and I was like, wait, tell me more about this. I went from zero knowledge. I didn't even know how Airbnb worked and what the hell was booking.com. But here I am, fully running this business just because I took that one step. And I'm telling you guys this because I remember feeling that stuck. And at the time I just had my first son as well, so I was thinking we need to leave this area, I want to buy a house, but what is all this? I come across so many women, so many corporate babes who are like, I really want to get started, I don't know what to do, and they're so scared. What I've decided to do is put together a free live workshop where I just kind of break down how I got started, what to avoid, how to set up your company with compliance, especially in the UK where there's so many rules and tax and blah blah blah. A little bit of fun, a little bit of Q&A, tell you about mistakes, tell you a few of my stories, and just sit down with those who want the help.
