Portfolio Manager Do you wanna manage other people's money for a living? Well, being a portfolio manager may be the right role for you. I'm gonna be breaking down the career and ways to break into it, skills necessary for the role and why it's one of the fastest growing careers in twenty twenty six. First and foremost, what do portfolio managers do? Well, they choose various stocks and investments to invest in while analyzing the markets and see what is best for whoever they are managing. This is a very interesting role because it can be at a firm managing other people's money through the firm, or it can be on your own personal, which can give also a lot of autonomy in your work and in your approach depending on if you're working for yourself or if you're working for a company. Now starting out to break into the field, which is a high, uh, difficulty to break into, you'd probably be a portfolio analyst making anywhere from seventy five to a hundred thousand dollars a year. Now when you become a senior person at the firm, you'll be making anywhere from three hundred to five hundred thousand dollars. But if you work with your own firm, your own portfolios that you manage, you'll be making upwards of potentially over one million dollars depending on the clients that you have. Hard Skills: Financial Modeling & Analysis, Researching risk and market trends. Some of the hard skills include financial modeling, advanced financial analysis and stock valuation and stock investments. And being able to shift change of investment accordingly. But I think even more than hard skills, the soft skills are more and more important. Soft Skills: Communication, Transparency, Reputation. Being able to emotionally connect with clients and build a great transparency, reputation, personal brand and being able to communicate clearly to the client so that they can understand while also being analytical in the back end as well. Overall, this career, I would give this career a nine point three. I think it's extremely great. It's not as hard to break into as some other careers while also offering some creativity and autonomy, especially later on in the career. The earnings have a lot of potential, so it's an early day I've been over all, I think it's a great career for you. This is it. This is day 20 out of 28 of talking about different finance careers. If you guys have any you want me to talk about, comment them down below. I'll talk to you guys tomorrow.
