There's a hidden gem finance career that you could be making upwards of $300,000 a year that is not hard to break into and has steady job demand in 2026 and that is being a treasure. A treasure is like the guardian of a vault. So they're not an accountant, but they make sure that companies can pay its bills, fund new projects and make sure that they can survive a crisis if that does happen. The salaries for these roles starting can be making anywhere from $75 to $95,000. and senior roles can be paying anywhere from $200 to $350,000. There's also a gold standard certification that's great for this role, which is the CPT certified treasury professional, which is a great, great certification to break into the field. The job outlook is great. People always need the job in their business and they always need someone advising the CEO and that is what the treasurer does. Now, what are some necessary skills for this role? The first one is cash for the future and seeing how much cash the company has on hand now and how much is projected to have in the future to make sure that you can fund future projects. The second one is make sure that you are detail oriented. This is a big job with a huge amount of responsibility and you not want to mess it up. It could be really bad news. And finally we have risk management, which is a great major for this role combined with finance as well as relationship management making sure that you are in good relationships with the company's banks and the company's firms deal with as well as making sure the risk is maintained and managed well.
