A Marketing manager messaged me this morning saying that her leadership have asked her for ideas on how to generate short term leadgen to hit their targets. And traditionally this company has been relying on word of mouth and referrals. So I'm gonna share with you what I told her. When you get this language from leaders, they want quick fixes. And marketing does not work that way. There are certain things. So in this case I would suggest to them that they dive into probably the gold mine they already have. So one of the quickest ways to get new opportunities for meetings in the diary for closing customers is to make sure that every single person who's involved in selling in closing customers and dealing with customers pulls together every quote they've ever sent out, every proposal, every meeting, get it all together in one central CRM system and send a really nice kind of maybe six stage email nurture sequence to reawaken that data. Because what often happens is leaders like this one that my friend who's messaged me has said, they tend to think that lead generations of cold new people, like not cold new people coming in is gonna be the quickest way to get gross. But actually the quickest way to get gross is to think well, two years ago, that person who said no to us, let's reflect on why they said no. Let's find out how they're getting on with the alternative decision they made and let's rewarm them up. Digging into that can get you some really quick wins. An ex client that I worked with before I don't do client work anymore. I actually got them to hit their target with this approach because the business was 12 years old. They hadn't been doing any nurture based selling. They just been literally picking up the phone, trying to find work, trying to get leads. And I was like, let's get everyone together in one place. Let's um nurture them all together collectively. Let's get some meetings in. Target purely from doing that. And then what I would say is behind the scenes, start your brand building work. And brand building work, all you gotta do really is, like start with who is your dream audience. So which client that you currently have would you like to clone times 100? So every single customer you have is exactly like them. Do a dream audience work. We do this inside my program. If you wanna learn more, there's a link in the bio. And we have got a workshop coming up, free life class where I'm gonna dig into this a little bit as well on the 26th of March. You can also do that in the bio. So I do this um, you map out who they are, what they care about, what problem and also um, let down in the past, what they've tried, what didn't work. And then you get those pain points and you map them against where you're very very very very very weak. And that gap is so you need to talk about that all of the time in email campaigns, in content, whether events, if you do a speaker conference and make sure everything completely connects together in one simple funnel, marketing strategy process. Because unless you've got a huge budget, unless you're like a huge marketing team, you can't afford to look at things completely separately. If you're going to do a social media post, make sure it's linking to something that someone can engage with, whether it's a download, get them into your system, put them in your pipeline, start nurturing them with your nurture sequences so that they're primed and ready. That if they do want a meeting, they know who you are, they know what you're about. If there's a need, you're gonna be front of mind. And everything else you do needs to just underpin that. If you're on an event, film a person talking, get a good microphone, get them to talk about a topic. Like I could talk about this all day and I will talk about it loads on March 26th in my webinar how to become a strategic marketer. So I told this woman in fact, she emailed me to say, can't wait for this session. In the meantime, can you help me? So, um, thanks to your lovely question. I hope this is helpful.
