Okay, this is what's wrong with both Claude code and vibe coding. If you're not hit to the recent news, Cloud Code source code was leaked, so we get to see these statistics. Claude Code and open code are functionally very, very similar, so it should be fair to assume that they have a very similar line of code count. No, Claude code has 400,000, 400,000 more lines of code. This is what happens when you let A.I. slop all over the place in your code base. And the open code team is very public about how meticulous and careful they still are with their coding standards, while the claude code, on the other hand, is very public about how all of the code was vibe coded. I don't want to poop all over anthropic. This is just a good case study of what not to do.
