This is how you meet people in real life. I broke up with my boyfriend in August, and since then, I've been single, and I've been pretty consistently meeting people not on the apps. I redownloaded Hinge for about 24 hours, got terrified by it, and then immediately hid it in one of my folders and do not look. The key to meeting people in real life is confidence. You cannot be afraid to go up to someone that you find cute. And I made a video about why I love making the first move, and it's mainly because I don't have time for anyone else's shit. But if part of you is very human and is scared of rejection, everyone is. The key to doing this is to stare. Let me explain. So whenever I'm out and I see someone that I think is attractive, I will immediately start trying to catch their eye. And I don't mean, like, timidly look at them, then look away. Like, I mean, I am staring at them, and when they catch my eye, I continue to stare. This works without fail because one of two things happen. They catch your eye, you continue to stare, they look away and don't, like, really look very flirty, or they catch your eye, you continue to stare, and they smile. And they usually do smile. Either way, I pretty much guarantee that after you catch their eye and continue to stare, you will know whether they are interested or not. Now, often times what happens next is they get the idea, can really see that you're interested, and then they are not afraid to go up to you. But often times I am also the one going up to them because men are dumb and slow and they, like, wanna take their time and I don't have time for that. But let me tell you, this never fails. The stare down literally works every time. My particular tactic for the stare down, which sounds so aggressive, but really it isn't nearly as aggressive as it seems, is to stare at them, like, kind of with a smirk in your eye and what I call S E X. Eyes. And it. It works, I don't know what else to say. The other ways that I've been meeting people is asking my friends for setups. Like, I will ask everyone for a setup, especially people who are new friends or like, are in a different group than the people you normally hang out with. Also, even if you're single, you should be setting up your other single friends. You. What you give comes back around, let me tell you. Because remember, rising tides raise all ships. Okay. Love you. Bye.
