Hook

Their other posts in the index, biggest breakout first.
5 money things I don't do as a financially efficient person who did not grow up with wealth who now has over 100,000 pounds in savings and net worth. I do not get my nails done. I have tried getting my nails done in the past and it is such a waste of time for me and also it keeps you hooked. Your nails look horrible in the in-between stages. I would much rather have natural nails and spend maybe 5 to 10 minutes a week buffing them and taking care of my cuticles with some castor oil. I don't think I have ever paid for an all-inclusive holiday. I'd rather spend on a hotel and actually eat the food of the local place because I really love doing that when I do go abroad or do visit a new place or environment. And in general, when I do leave the country, I do I would rather invest that money into traveling and getting to know other cultures and that includes their customs and food. The third thing is alcohol. Ever since I did 75 Hard and also leading up to 75 Hard two, three years ago, I just have really gone off the need to drink. Financially, alcohol really drives up bill prices. Like I am traveling Latin America right now and if I were drinking every time I socialized, my spending would be so much higher than it currently is. The only times I do drink are for special occasions and even then it's only one to two. I don't really get takeaway food, which feels really weird to say while traveling because I eat out a lot while we're traveling. I always prefer to cook. It's my personality, it's my rest time. I love food, I love new recipes. It's a really rich hobby for me. And finally, skincare. I think luxury or expensive skincare is the biggest lie we have been sold. I understand skincare for medical purposes, but from the times I have dabbled with expensive skincare in my 20s, I have found it to be such a waste of money and such a such a sinister way to hook you in to a really highly priced recurring cost that you have to pay. And for me, that has really been a key part of keeping my financial habits manageable and low. What do you think of my habits? Do they make me boring? Let me know. Don't forget to give this a like and follow for more.
