There are a lot of things I refuse to do with my money. As someone with over £130,000 saved and invested within the stock market, and this is probably going to trigger a lot of people, so if you're easily annoyed by money, then keep scrolling because you're not going to like this one. 1. Cash ISA. The first thing is I never keep more than £2,500 in a general savings cash ISA. Everything's invested. 2. 50% bills. I refuse to spend more than 50% of my annual income on rent and bills. 3. Alcohol. The third thing is spending my money on alcohol. I don't enjoy drinking, I don't enjoy spending the money on it, therefore I don't do it. 4. Fast fashion. Buying fast fashion clothing. I used to do this a ton when I was younger, but now I would much rather invest a little bit more money but know I'm getting a quality piece that's going to last me years longer. 5. Car. Owning a car. I live in the city center, it's really unnecessary to have a car and I hate the unexpected maintenance repairs, so I sold it and now I just use public transport. 6. Makeup. Spending money on makeup. I used to spend a ton of money, a ton of my wage on new makeup. I would be buying it, I'd be testing it, I'd be using it. Now, I buy a product, I finish it, and then I buy a new product. 7. Skincare. Gimmicky skincare. I am not one to give in for all these different 10-step skincare routines. I literally have about 3, 4 products. They work for my skin, when I use them, I repurchase it. I don't overcomplicate it. 8. Hair. Getting my hair coloured. I used to get my hair coloured every 6 months. Now my best friend's mum will occasionally cut my hair and that's good enough for me. I'm happy to just grow my natural colour out and I feel like it suits me best.
