I'm a lesbian, and here's one thing I need straight women to stop doing: stop saying that everyone thinks you and your bestie are "lesbian lovers". Everyone basically thinks that we're lesbians because we're so close. I can assure you that nobody thinks that. Not one person has ever thought that. That's not how society works. No one will ever assume that you're lesbians. I was on a date with a girl the other day, and the waitress asked, "Is that your sister or your mom?" We were the same age, by the way. Every time I have a girlfriend, someone's like, "You and your bestie are so cute together." Meanwhile, god forbid I wanna get lunch with my brother, people think that he's my boyfriend. As lesbians, our relationships, even our super serious relationships, are not at all taken seriously and are seen as glorified friendships. So when you say shit like, "Oh my god, me and my bestie are basically lesbians," it contributes to that. Also, I have never in my life met a lesbian who uses the terms "lesbian lovers" or "scissor sisters". Not once. So I'm giving you two options. You can either stop saying stuff like this, or you and your bestie can commit to the bit fully and be lesbian lovers. Confess your feelings for each other!! Kiss. Go get married right now.
