Rating my Met Gala flops as someone who went to fashion school. To start off is a real doozy. Leah Dunham, I want to say this is in Valentino. This gown just swallows her up. Hair is giving nothing, makeup is giving nothing, and then we're going to add the rock stud pump to this already just like madness going on. Like, because Nicole Kidman did something similar and it looked really great, but this is just not it. I'm sorry, girl. Makeup is absolutely taking me out. It's giving like shonen anime villain. Absolutely love the garment, but from the neck up, I just a makeup wipe, please. Oh girl, no. Troy, Troy, Troy. What are we doing here, babe? What is this? What are these Looney Tunes shoes? She just gets a demerit for being plain. If you took that headpiece off, it would just look like any other kind of like pinky blush dress. There's no creativity. This looks last minute ramshackle together. I just, it's boring. And what's worse than ugly is boring. And here's the thing, her and Kylie kind of had the same thing going on with like the garment kind of like coming undone, like showing the pieces underneath, like your corset, like your lingerie. But hers just looks like her boobie fell out. I'm not getting the same drama as I did from Kylie's. Like this is just, I mean, the tailoring is absolutely perfect. Like this fits her body beautifully, but just, what is this? I am going to say one nice thing, her hair and her makeup do look nice, but everything else is a disaster. The greasy center part with the little mustache, like this whole thing just makes me so deeply uncomfortable. It's like a 1940s villain kind of look if you're picking up what I'm putting down. No. And to finish off, Gigi Hadid. I, um, you know, she's just kind of standing there in her underpants with a couple little flower petals covering her chichis. I'm not getting much creative energy from this. It's just kind of a mesh slip dress with a couple patches thrown on it. Like she is just such a gorgeous canvas to put an incredible gown on, and this is what we went with? I, I just, I can't. Like it was, woof.
