Opay is about to do its IPO and this information is according to Bloomberg. IPO simply means initial public offering. So this is the first time when a company is offering its stocks for sale to the general public, usually at a cheaper amount before the stocks is now being listed on the stock broker platforms. So what that means is that Opay is about to be listed in the stock market. But it's not listed in the stock market. It's going to be listed in the US stock market. I am sure many of you are not aware that Opay is not a Nigerian company. Although Opay was established in Nigeria in 2018 and they are also licensed by the CBN. However, Opay is not a Nigerian company. Opay is a Chinese company that is owned by a Chinese billionaire called Zhou Yahui. Also the CEO of Opera Software. So Opay is a Chinese company. It is not a Nigerian company. So they're going to be listed in the stock market and they are also expected to be listed with a valuation of around $4 billion. I am not sure if Nigerians can actually participate in this IPO because this is a US stock. However, let's see exactly how things are going to unfold. But just in case Nigerians are able to participate in the IPO, will you actually be participating? Let me know the comment section below.
