The Federal Government Savings Bond for the month of June is out, and you can see it right here. You now have the opportunity to invest in the Federal Government of Nigeria Savings Bond for the month of June. And just in case you don't know anything about this investment, the Federal Government of Nigeria Savings Bond is a government-backed investment that was established in 2017, and ever since then, the government has been consistent with paying dividend to all their investors. So let me explain exactly how it work. If you want to invest in FGN Savings Bond, the minimum investment is 5,000 Naira, and you can invest for a period of two years or you can invest for a period of three years. Now when you invest, you'll be getting paid your dividend every three months, meaning you'll be receiving your returns every quarter. Then upon maturity, your entire capital will be returned to you. If you look at this one right here, you can see that the two year tenor is paying an interest of 13.777% interest per annum. And if you look at the three year tenor, you can see that it is paying an interest of 14.777% interest per annum. Now let's assume you want to invest 5 million Naira in the two year tenor that is paying an interest of 13.777% interest per annum, what that simply means is that every three months you'll be paid 172,212 Naira, because your returns will be splitted into three three months. So if you are investing 5 million Naira in a two year tenor that pays an interest of 13.777% interest per annum, your quarterly return will be 172,212 Naira. And if you're investing same 5 million Naira in the 3 year tenor that returns around 14.777% interest by annum, your quarterly returns will be 184,712 Naira. So upon maturity, that is after two years or after three years, your entire 5 million Naira will be returned to you. So that's exactly how the FGN Savings Bond work.
