Do you have taste or can you replicate trends?

I think we've conflated the idea of having taste with someone being able to replicate trends. For example, we all know the clean girl aesthetic. Someone who can replicate that really well doesn't necessarily have good taste. Because in my opinion, taste is having an opinion. I don't really care that anyone else likes this or doesn't like this, I love it and here's why. Like if red was not trending, I would still wear it. If orange was not popular, I would still listen to it. If this writing style people don't like, I would write like this. Having that opinion. Creative work that's about to pop off in the next couple years is going to be so opinionated to the point where it's like, I've never seen that before. You couldn't have seen it before because it came from someone's brain. And that's what AI can't do. But you have to have courage to put work out there that people have never seen before because it might not land. But if you want something to be truly original, you have to be willing to put it out there.
