You MUST Understand This BEFORE you upload SENSITIVE COMPANY DATA

The questions I get all the time is, is this information too sensitive to upload into Copilot or to upload BP? Really good question. So let's talk about it. Data security. ChatGPT vs. Microsoft Copilot. Can get complex, but there's only a couple things you really need to know. Before you upload... Configuring customer data. AI Chat. Type a message. Stop. So before you upload that sensitive company data into ChatGPT, you need to Turn training Off. ChatGPT settings, data controls. Improve the model for everyone. Allow your content to be used to train our models, which will help improve the model for everyone. Learn more here. This is the best steps to protect your privacy. Turn on. Location. When enabled, your location helps ChatGPT provide more relevant recommendations, news, and weather. Learn more here. Remote browser data. On. Shared chats. Manage. Archive all chats. Delete all chats. Delete all. Report data. Export. Model improvement. Voice. Include your audio recordings. Include your video recordings. And that setting is the ability for Chat G to train their future models on your data. Means is if bank record or customer information and Chat G that information, they may train their future models on that data. Paid plan only. Free plan. Can't toggle. Don't upload sensitive data. Paid plan. Toggle off. Then you're protected. Luckily, you have the ability to turn, but you can likely only do on a paid T plan. On a free T plan, don't do it. Copilot is different. Data retention controls. Your data and the rules. Using Microsoft Copilot, the good news. Microsoft offers enterprise data security across their entire Copilot ecosystem, which basically guarantees the same security that you're gonna like Microsoft Outlook. So Microsoft promises that they're not models off your data. They also have certain restrictions into can hold on to that data of audit logs available for your company to go to check and went wrong. The way I put it, my company is if you're comfortable sending something in an Outlook email, you're probably okay in a Co. Now you should always check your company's internal confidentiality or data security information because you may have restrictions on what level allowed to put into Copilot. But usually unless something is encrypted or highly confidential, you're probably okay to use Copilot because of the enterprise data security.
