My AI Operating System that runs my business and my personal life lives on my computer, but I can access it through my phone and I built it using nothing but Claude Code. Now this is part two, as last week I showed you guys my dashboard and I literally got a million comments asking me how to build something like this, so this week I'm going to show you how to do that. Businesses will often charge thousands of dollars in setup fees for a solution like this, so if you don't want to spend that kind of money and you want to try doing it yourself, but you need a little bit of help, this might be a good option for you. So if you want to try doing this yourself, there's really three pillars that you need to understand before you try building your own AI operating system or business dashboard. The first one is you're going to need an intelligence layer. For me, I use Claude Code, but you can also use Codex or Gemini CLI or Anti-Gravity, but I prefer Claude Code. So you're going to install Claude Code on your Mac or your Windows. Once you have that done, you're also going to install something called Obsidian. Obsidian works like a second brain. It's basically a series of markdown files that you're going to be stored locally on your computer. So initially when you set this up, you're going to basically have Claude Code interview you, get all your business contacts and information, and then you're going to have your intelligence layer and you're going to have a memory system. From there, if you want to operate this remotely, you're going to need some sort of an SSH VPN. For that, I use Tailscale. You can get it for free and you can connect up to six devices, and this allows the remote connection from your phone to your computer. And then lastly, all you're going to do is you're going to set up your AIOS. So this part can be a little bit technical for most people, so again, if you want the exact how-to guide, check out my profile. But if you know how to do this, you're essentially going to be connecting your tools, your API calls, your MCP servers, your CLI systems. So if you're using something like Google Workspace for example, you're going to use Workspace CLI and connect in everything that you need, and you're going to ask Claude Code to build you your AIOS. You're going to build it as a local, a local dashboard web app, so that way it's running locally, it's not on a server, everything is safe and secure, but you can access it through your phone.
