Weird girl places in London, episode 2. This one's for the weird girls that want to grab a drink but they're sick of the classic British pub. They want something weird. So there's this unmarked door in East London. You go downstairs and suddenly you're in Communist Prague. Retro furniture, low light, the kind of place that feels like it shouldn't exist and especially not in Shoreditch. When you sit down they hand you a book in Czech. You flip it open and it's actually a cocktail menu. And here's where the weird part comes in. The drinks come in every physical form. Liquid, solid, gas. I got a tasting set, I think it was something inspired by artists. Some of my cocktails came in little paint tubes that I had to pierce myself and some of them in the form of noodles that we had to dip in something that looked like soy sauce. It's weird, it's elevated, it's somehow still classy. Oh and bookings are compulsory, so plan ahead but it's pretty easy to book. It's called Lounge Bohemia. I have a few more recommendations like this, so if you're interested comment down below WEIRD and I'll send you a map.
