These are my most unpopular beauty opinions about things I love, but everyone else seems to hate. Firstly, shellac nails. 10 years ago, we all used to get shellac. A shellac color would take half an hour, with a manicure like 45 minutes. Like them, bio gel came into play. Does it look slightly better? Yes. Why am I in the salon from 90 minutes to two hours every single time? Why must they go finger by finger with that little brush, turning it upside down, doing all sorts, all for it to look the same as shellac in the end? Slightly stronger. No, shellac was the one. It was so easy to remove, it was so quick to put on. Bring it back. Next, we have this new wave of hatred where everybody seems to be attacking the body oilers after the shower. I've seen so many videos where the girlies are saying, don't oil yourself after the shower, it just sits on top of your body, it's not moisturizing, blah blah blah. Lies. Lies. You must never have truly experienced an everything shower, followed by lathering your dolphin skin in a vanilla or coconut scented oil. They will never convince me to put down the body oil. And lastly, frizzy hair. I used to be a sleek hairaholic and I would try every which way to remove frizz from my hair, curly or straight. I am truly over it. You either have hair that goes sleek or you don't, and I don't. So it's time to embrace the frizz. I'm truly embracing the frizz as chic. Like frizzy curly hair is chic, frizzy straight hair is chic. I love the frizz. It doesn't have to be sleek and shiny for it to be pretty. Frizz is also beautiful. Amen.
