back camera > selfie camera ALWAYS 👏 but it is a pain to frame yourself without being able to see what you’re doing. Since @insta360 sent me this selfie screen to test out, I’ve been using it a ton so let’s break down the pros and cons. PROS ✅ powered from your phone (no battery needed) ✅ simply plug it in and see what’s on your phone screen ✅ touch screen let’s you control your phone from the back ✅ magsafe connection attaches the screen to your phone ✅ has a built-in ring light with different brightness levels and colour temps CONS ❌ you have to choose between plugging this in OR your wireless mics ❌ it makes my phone get really hot when i film with it plugged in for a while I’d love to see Insta360 make an upgraded version of this that has a built-in mic receiver for their new wireless mics, that would make it a perfect iphone creator set up. if you think it’s worth trying for yourself, I’ll leave the link in my bio!
