Your vlog intro montage is not working. I'm gonna stop you right there. That is not gonna work on YouTube in 2026. You might see your favorite creators doing it, but the strategy has got to look different for brand new creators. Okay, so first of all, your vlog is gonna need a theme. A generic day in my life is just not gonna cut it. You could maybe try something like a New Year reset or finding my inspiration again. Once you've got your premise in mind, your intro needs to address the theme immediately. Don't waste time with an aesthetic montage. Let's get to the topic at hand as soon as you can. And you're gonna want to establish an open loop or a question, curiosity, that's gonna keep the viewer watching longer. I know when you're getting started, it's really tempting to look what works for big creators doesn't always work to grow because you admire. But the truth is, storytelling and editing strategies that work for established creators with large audiences don't necessarily work for growing creators. Your viewers don't know you yet! You gotta give them a reason to click, convince them to watch, make them fall in love. That'll give you the opportunity to get them to watch long enough to start watching for you.
