This is how long it's realistically going to take you to be profitable if you're just starting with Amazon FBA. If you're brand new to selling on Amazon, you have to realize that the first few months is going to be a lot of testing, which means that you're going to be trying out different types of products and not necessarily buying a big bulk of items. This means that you're only going to be buying around 5 to 10 units at a time per product. You also have to remember that you're not going to be approved for the big brands, so you're probably going to be focusing on smaller brands where the profit might not be as high. This stage is going to last around one to two months. During the first two months, you're going to be focusing on getting sales history. How many sales do I need to start seeing bigger profit margins? Once you get 100 to 300 sales on your account, that's when Amazon is going to start approving you for the bigger brands, and that's when you're going to be able to find products that are a lot more profitable. 300 sales could sound like a lot, but that's why you have software that automatically tells you if the product is going to sell or not. And when you find those products, they sell quick. Realistically, if you use the softwares, find the right products and gain seller history, it shouldn't take you longer than two months to see real profit.
