Replying to @Queen when I opened mine, I had no idea what any of this meant. I didn't know stocks from bonds. I didn't know what a target-date fund was. but my mom said to buy the latest target date fund, so I did. target date funds are a great place to start. you may hear people dogging on them, but until you get a better understanding of stocks, ETFs, bonds, etc - it’s a solid place to start! 🗣️🗣️ inside your Roth IRA, you can sell what you bought and buy something different, and the IRS doesn't care. there's no penalty, no tax, nothing. the only rules are about when money LEAVES the Roth IRA, not what you do with it inside. so if you pick a target-date fund today and change your mind in six months, you can swap it for an S&P 500 fund or whatever else. you are not locked in. the only real mistake you can make right now is not starting. drop your questions below and follow for more!! #RothIRA #investing #PersonalFinance #wealthbuilding #compoundinterest
