Hook

Melanie calling Kayda Katie is such an indicator of what I mean when I tell people that it's easier to be comfortable with the idea of uncertainty until you're actually in it. And I say that because from the moment she's been introduced on our screens, she has been nothing but bubbly, sweet, very, very chill, a little rough around the edges, but the moment she learned that Sincere pulled Kayda for a chat today, her whole demeanor changed. I'm talking about all that sweet shit was shut down. And it's understandable because realistically, that's how a lot of us respond to that realization that we are not the exception to shit, anything. So what the problem was for me though was the repeated Katie comments. And it's only because in that moment I realized that she had given in to the discomfort and the disappointment of it all and chose to dismiss the source, the person causing it, rather than actually sit with it. It's a lot easier to do, don't get me wrong, but it was a little disappointing to see Melanie do that because realistically, Sincere hasn't made a choice. Nothing's happened at all. Sincere didn't reject Melanie, Sincere didn't choose Kayda. All that happened was Melanie was forced to sit with the fact that things might not go the way that she's expecting. Emphasis on the might not. And remind you, they're on Love Island. The whole factor is uncertainty. The bombshells, the exploring of connections, that was the premise of the whole show. So to see her get so wound up, I need baby girl to let loose. I need I need her to relax just a little bit. Mind you, it's it hasn't been more than 72 hours since these people have met. Mhm. I I need baby girl to reel it the fuck in.
Their other posts in the index, biggest breakout first.
