If you saw this question on the SAT today, you were probably super confused. So let me show you exactly how you could have solved it. We're given that points X, Y, and Z are on a circle. And we're told that angle XYZ is equal to 142.1. And we need to find the measure of arcs XY and YZ. What I can do is realise that when I have a point on a circle and it has an angle, the arc that it will create is double whatever that angle is. So this arc will be 284.2. We also know that all of the angles in a circle add up to 360. So if these two arcs are the remainder of the circle, those are going to then add up with 284.2 to make 360. So I can just do 360 minus 284.2 and I get the answer of 75.8.
