I learned to code without AI and the funny thing is even back then I was never writing code from scratch but I think it's so interesting because if I take a trip down memory lane I can't tell you the last time I had to write a file from scratch in my day and age we were using Stack Overflow Google referencing other files that maybe a different team member wrote that was more senior to you and yes AI has definitely sped this up but the syntactical piece of actually writing down code I'd argue has always been the least valuable part of the job
