I'm in Davenport, Iowa where I'm not normally at but I was driving and I saw a sign that said Salvation Army Bin Store now open. I have less than an hour but I'm going. It feels like Christmas at first glance. There is really not a ton here and so I immediately lowered my expectations, especially when I saw that a bunch of the clothes I was looking at were tagged, meaning they had been in the stores and didn't sell. But then I realized some of this had been priced in their normal stores and that's how it ended up here. I ended up picking up a bunch of stuff to consign like sweaters, multiple pairs of snow pants, light jackets, and I even found some merch from Fort Dodge Correctional Facility. Uh, you can only get this if you go to prison, I'm pretty sure. They had two bins of shoes. Most of their hard good stuff was priced individually along the walls and then there was like one bin of stuff. Look at how nicely their bin of books is arranged here. And their pricing was the same as the Des Moines location where as you buy more and more pounds, it gets cheaper and cheaper. A lot of what I ended up picking up was winter and fall items, but that's totally fine. I ended up getting 12 pounds in 30 minutes.
