My net worth at age 29

A little background info: -I do not own a home. I’ve always rented and had a roommate for 3 years after college. -No student loans. I got a full ride scholarship to undergrad and then side hustled to pay for grad school. -No car loan. Every car I’ve owned has been bought from Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace for cash. -I worked a corporate tech job for 5 years after college while growing my side hustles (reselling & social media), and then quit to do reselling and social media full-time. -If you’re wondering how my Roth IRA balance is so high, I opened it when I was 21 and have since rolled over a Roth 401K into it which doesn’t count against the contribution limits. -In college I had a financial planning internship and being able to look at real people’s numbers was so eye-opening. Within a week of starting the internship, I opened my first retirement account. -Living in a low-cost area (Iowa) has greatly helped my savings rate. -I’ve never made six figures (although I was quite close last year), but I have worked to keep my expenses low and invest as much as I can. -There are many small things I could do to optimize further (rolling over that traditional IRA), but I’ve focused on getting the big things “right.” #networthupdate #financialtransparency #PersonalFinance #firemovement #networth
