Looking to buy a football club in Spain, today I'm researching Lleida CF. At first glance, it looks pretty sweet. The club plays in a city of about 140,000 people and has a stadium that holds over 13,000 fans. But then you start digging in deeper. The club has $5 million of debt. Over the last year, it has faced insolvency proceedings, administrative relegation, and concerns about its long-term survival. The good news, an investor recently stepped in and reached an agreement to secure the club's future. For me, this one's probably a pass. There's been too much turbulence. With a new investor recently stepping in, the timing isn't great either. On to the next one.
