Hook

we’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again…your video hook (the first 3 seconds) is THE most important part of your video 🪝🎥 so here are three types of video hook ideas that work {pretty much} every time 🙂↕️ Number one: the This to That. AKA before and after or transformation. Showing people results of what they could get by doing whatever it is you’re going to show or talk about in the video is going to be what keeps them watching because it makes you more credible. You can do this with photo or video overlays, using a green screen, or just putting your after footage at the beginning of the video to use your hook. Number two: the Question tactic. Is it just me or does anyone else feel like your topic question hooks people because they want to know if they agree or disagree with whatever it is you’re going to talk about. That also adds that relatable, best friend, FaceTime effect so people feel connected to you. Number three: the Sneak Peek method. A lot of people will take a part of their vlog or video in general that’s the most interesting and put it at the very beginning to catch attention and give a little sneak peek of what they’re going to unpack about that snippet later. People will also do this method of they’re stitching a video to add onto the conversation or share their perspective by adding text that says stitch incoming so people know to stay and watch to see what the other person has to say. Okay, as usual, we’re Statusphere. We match creators with brand collabs/PR. We post tons of tips like this. Let us know if you want us to break down any of these video hook methods more because there’s so much more to unpack.
