The last few days have given me a perspective I never wanted to learn this way. I haven’t been able to respond to everyone individually, but I want you to know that every text, call, message, prayer, and well wish meant more than you can imagine. Amina is safe. She’s recovering. And she’s expected to make a full recovery. When something happens to your child, everything else instantly becomes background noise. The meetings, the deals, the deadlines, the stress, the things we think are so important.

The meetings, the deals, the deadlines, the stress, the things we think are so important—they all disappear in a heartbeat. What remains is family. I’m incredibly grateful for the doctors, nurses, first responders, friends, and complete strangers who showed kindness when we needed it most. Most of all, I’m grateful that my daughter is still here smiling. Thank you to everyone who reached out and kept our family in your thoughts. We don’t take a single day for granted.
