It's rainy day Toronto and it's gloomy day in the city today so let's go get some bagels. And there is only one good style of bagel and that is a Montreal style bagel. I will literally fight you to the death on that. I mean a lot of y'all are just eating bread in the shape of a bagel instead of an actual bagel, like sorry. It's also like 12 o'clock at this point, so I doubt that they'll have any. But I figured let's just go anyway because I need to get fresh air and why not? Now when it comes to Montreal style bagels, I only ever go to one place in the city and that's St. Lawrence Market. Obviously Montreal style bagels in Montreal are in their league of their own, but I'd say that these guys got the job done. Mind you, I've been going to St. Lawrence Market every single time I've had a little kid. So the fact that some of y'all have overhyped this place because of the bagels and inundated the line. I'm a little bitter about it. I also never go to St. Lawrence Market on a weekend past 12 because it becomes a tourist trap and feels like everyone's first day walking ever. After got the bagels, I figured pop by Carousel, which is a back bacon on a bun. Again, another Toronto institution I've been coming to since I was little. This was some honey mustard on it. Don't even talk to me. Don't even talk to me. Because I was in this part of the city, I figured I'd do a side quest and pop into Eaton Centre to check out Uniqlo. Found this trench coat on sale. I've been wanting to get a trench coat for rainy days, but I feel like I want one that's a little bit longer, so passed on it. Cop these baggy cargo pants. By that point, the overstimulation and exhaustion kicked in, so I came back home where I saw that Cook Unity dropped off some meals for me to track for the week. So I unloaded those, also with my groceries. Because it was still raining, I figured I'd just do some small edits on content that I've been needing to post. Because I have free will, I figured I just have a bagel for a snack. Peanut butter on a sesame bagel. Yeah, kind of iconic. To wrap up this kind of lazy day, I did a Cook Unity meal. And I'm not even trying to be dramatic when I say that these meal kits go so hard. Like I have never had a meal kit actually taste this fresh and so flavorful. Like it's kind of crazy. Uh, but yeah, that was my rainy day in Toronto.
