I just came back from the dentist and they're trying to charge me $4,000 to remove my four wisdom teeth. I'm going to tell you guys why I'm not even paying it, even though I'm not in so much pain right now. So, a little backstory, I've been sick and that's why I'm talking a little weird. I have a really bad cold and I think that caused a little bit of swelling in my throat and also a little bit of swelling in my mouth. Because I still have my four wisdom teeth and they're all impacted. These two wisdom teeth are kind of hitting against my cheek every time I open and close it's painful. Dentist, I went into the dentist hoping to get some relief. This, I walked out with this really expensive treatment plan. I know better now because I just went through this with my mom. Actually, she had some dental issues a few weeks back and I took her into the dentist and I ended up paying $3,000 out of pocket that day for her. So I know better now. Once I got this, I didn't say yes to anything immediately and I reviewed it. Guys, listen to this guys. Extraction for this wisdom tooth is $74.20. Extraction for this one is $29.20. That's fine. But then they want to charge me $508 to graft, $150 each for biological collagen. Them, 100% necessary. And I walked out of there and I texted my friend, Madina, smilespending, also spoke to one of you guys, the dental hygienist, both of them said is not necessary. These are wisdom teeth, so nothing is going in there. So instead of paying the $4,000, I should be paying something closer to $262.60 for the whole thing. It just makes me upset and really sad because one, I went in and I didn't get relief. And two, I know better, but I know that a lot of you guys and a lot of our community members don't. So they go into the dentist thinking their trust, their dentists, they can trust these providers and then a lot of them offices end out just looking out for their own financial benefit. This is what gets me was the person going through the treatment plan like, if we, payment, and then they're like, oh, if it's too expensive, we could put you on a payment plan and it's not like a credit card, like, you know, blah, blah, blah. And I'm like, no, no, no, no. Hold on. I'm not doing that. And why I'm even talking about this is, yes, they push onto debt for people for things that aren't even medically necessary. This is what gets me. This is not how healthcare should work in the US. I think we already all know that. So hopefully this video helps people reviewing the bill before saying yes to anything. I know really for walk pain to when doctors, dentists that we're supposed to trust and to heal us anyway. Only through this. Only this. Comments. I know I'm not the only one that has gone through this right now.
