SCHD, D Tier. If you're holding this in a taxable account you're an idiot. You're just reinvesting the dividends anyways and getting taxed for it every single year. That's tax drag slowing you down for no reason. It only makes sense if you're living off the dividends in retirement or you're holding it in a Roth IRA or an HSA. Otherwise, scrap it. VOO, S Tier. The top 500 US companies in a single ticker. It's cheap, diversified and averages around 10% a year. The best core holding that most people will ever need. QQQ, A Tier. The top 100 names on the NASDAQ, basically all big tech. Incredible growth but pricey and concentrated. Use this as a smaller position, not a core. SMH, C Tier. The top 25 semiconductor companies all in one fund. If you believe in AI and modern tech, this is the fund for you. ARKK, F Tier. It's an actively managed fund betting on innovation. Wild swings in a chart that'll make you sick. Hard pass for me. If you wanna get better at investing make sure that you follow me so that way you actually learn this stuff.
