Here's what $10,000 turned into after 10 years in five of the most popular ETFs. These numbers run through this week with every dividend put back in. Let me know in the comments which of these five that you own. BND, the bond fund. $10,000 became $11,446. Prices went up almost 40% in that time. So that $11,446 buys you less stuff than the $10,000 did in 2016. VXUS, basically every stock outside of America. 8,755 of them. And after 10 years you would have $24,760. SCHD, the dividend fund that pays you cash every three months. If you owned this, you would have $34,612 after 10 years. And that's only if you put one of those payments back in. VOO, the S&P 500 and my core holding. After 10 years you would have $41,416. That's 500 US companies for a 0.03% yearly fee. Extra money. Alright. Now SMH, the chip fund. And after 10 years your money became $183,068. That's 18 times your money. And that's after chips dropped 18% in July, just two months ago this exact number was $252,677. I own SMH myself. And back in 2022, it dropped 34%. And it's still ahead of VOO by more than $140,000.
