What is an underrated investment? Whiskey casks. You can potentially buy a share in a whiskey cask or buy a whole whiskey cask. It then will sit in a bonded warehouse. As you buy this share, but over time, the value of the whiskey cask or the whiskey share will go up. The categorization of the whiskey cask is what HMRC call a wasting chattel. One of the key parts of a wasting chattel, it has a useful life of under 50 years. It comes under this wasting chattel kind of rule, which means that if you have bought it at a certain price, then sell it at another price, and that price is higher, then that gain may not be subject to capital gains tax. So if you compare that to something like stocks or crypto, it generally falls within capital gains tax, which is why something like a whiskey cask can actually be quite a tax-efficient investment. It's not known as well, but could be worth considering.
