Why did I move to Canada? 🚧⬇️ I came to Canada at the age of 22 but started earning at the age of 18. As a young professional in India, I used to feel a sharp divide between my taxes paid and benefits received. 😣😭 From basics like roads, bridges and sidewalks. I used to feel systemic shortage of planning and accountability for public infrastructure. 😓 after stepping out of the airport, I couldn’t help but notice.. sidewalks in Canada had these stamps. They are both a technical requirement as well as a pride and marketing opportunity for the construction company. 🚜👷🏗️ While the country has a lot more to improve, I personally feel Canada is a far better country at taking care of tax dollars than a wide majority of countries. 🥺🇨🇦🍁
