Selling on Amazon for someone that's brand new is literally like walking through a field and they're just being trip mines everywhere. I mean, there's so many things that can go wrong when you're new that you don't pay attention to. And I found this out today, I met with a new student last week on Thursday. I showed him an auto one gay sourcing method with Kipa and had him do it for the weekend. And he came to me this morning on Monday with 41 found leads. He found 41 approved listings that he thought were good products to buy. Now, first things first, 41 listings is insane. Like some people can't even find two products that they're approved for. And this was 41 that were auto approved for his store with no sales and that he thought to be profitable. And one thing I do with all my students is I look over these products, I send them looms, looking over it because that's really the only way they're gonna learn is like seeing it done and then slowly picking these little things up. Now, we had a field day with these 41 products because out of those 41, I think we only finalized like seven of them that were actually worth buying and selling because of so many little red flags that you wouldn't be able to catch unless you've been doing this business for so long. There is no YouTube video, there is no course, there is no TikTok video that you're ever gonna watch that's gonna teach you these little things except for just doing the actual things in the business. And a lot of these for some people is just gonna be trial and error. And that's something you have to realize when you're getting into Amazon, there is going to be a trial and error period where you are going to lose money and you are going to make some mistakes. The biggest mistakes are ones that I talk about often and things to really prevent your account from getting shut down. For example, some of the products he sent were coming from an Italian website or from another one from a Spanish website or from a Chinese website. And I'm like, you can't buy from here because if Amazon requests an invoice or an order confirmation or whatever, and you provide them the receipt, they're not gonna accept it and you're gonna lose your account. There's also products from third party sellers like Walmart. I'm like, yeah, you can't buy these. And all of these little things that he now kind of begins to soak up. And of course, we're gonna keep giving him these analysis looms because over time that's gonna build confidence and you're just gonna soak it all up as you do it. A lot of other things that he missed was bundled listings. Like some people will look at a listing, not realizing it's a two pack or three pack or a one ounce tube versus a two ounce tube, right? Like these are the little things you really need to look at as a new seller, otherwise you're gonna get a ton of returns, complaints and potentially lose your account. So while I love to say Amazon is an easy business model, simple, I would be lying and doing you a disservice. Amazon is pretty simple when you understand it. There's really not much to it. But when you're learning it, you're going through that process, it's like anything else that's new. It's gonna be tough, it's gonna require a lot of trial and error and again, that is why it can be nice to have someone looking over your shoulders, verifying and making sure you're not making these silly mistakes, especially if you are committed and fully set on doing this. You gotta be careful. What you're doing when you're starting the business. It's literally like walking through a field with trip mines. Amazon is just trying to make sure that they have a clean platform with legit sellers. So you just gotta be careful.
