Thrifting my sister's baby shower part 3 I've been hunting lace and crochet pieces at the thrift store along with some other crafty supplies I'm really excited about. I'm currently making a giant fabric banner to use at my sister's baby shower. Using all of this thrifted lace and linen of these fabrics were headed for the landfill at the goodwill bins. I don't even know who would donate these in the first place, but I'm excited to be saving them and giving them a chance at a beautiful new life. Hoping my sister can use this banner for like future birthday parties or gatherings or just like hanging it up in her baby's nursery. I'm sure she will find good use out of it and love it so much. But I thought it was a cute keepsake. Yes, I could have easily ordered off of Amazon. But for what? A factory worker in a different country can do exactly what I'm doing for pennies on the dollar. I don't think so. So something special about pouring your blood, sweat and tears into a project that benefits not only you but also the planet. This 5 minute craft took me six hours to finish, but I have whatever personality trait it is that when I start a craft I literally have to finish it same day. That's why I can't do puzzles or crochet, because I cannot put it down. I need to finish the same day. I think my sister's gonna love this. It turned out so low key wanna keep it for myself. This banner is huge. So stay tuned we end up using it for her baby shower.
