This part 2 on how to create an active directory and add this project on your resume. In this part we're going to configure the ISO. This is the part before you start up the virtual machine. You should already have VirtualBox installed and your Windows Server ISO downloaded. What you want to do is click this blue button up here to open the new virtual machine. And now you want to configure it. So you want to name the virtual machine. You can name it wherever you want. I'm gonna do moooo. It's gonna store it in the virtual box VMs folder. Then you want to add the ISO you downloaded from the Windows evaluation center. So you're gonna go to other and then I'm gonna pick this one which is my Windows Server 2019 Standard Evaluation. Whichever one you want, always pick the desktop experience because you want a terminal UI. You want to click on this box to bring up your credentials. So you're gonna see your username for your virtual machine. You want to set up unattended guest OS installation. So you're gonna see your username, password, confirm password. You also want to name your host name and domain name. Next, after you configure your credentials, you want to add like the virtual hardware. So you can give it how much memory you want. I always recommend like halfway. And then CPUs, you can give it as much as you want. I always recommend like halfway as well. Finally, you want to allocate the disk size. I have 50 gigs, this is perfectly enough for this virtual machine. Once everything checks out, once you have your password set, you should be able to finish. And then it's gonna boot up your virtual machine. You see? And we can begin on part three on how to actually install active directory and configure your virtual machine.
