Yo, in this video I'm going to show you up your home lab machine. What you'll need is a USB stick, (the one I'm recording on lol) a computer, and your home lab machine. Your home lab machine can be anything from a spare laptop to a spare computer, etcetera. Just make sure it can always be connected to a power source and that it has an ethernet port. Now let's set up your USB. First, plug your USB into your computer, then download two things. First, the Proxmox Virtual Environment ISO. You can find this by going to proxmox.com, selecting downloads in the header, selecting Proxmox Virtual Environment, selecting ISO, and finally selecting the download on the most recent version. The second thing to download is Etcher. You can find this by going to etcher.balena.io to the balenaEtcher website, selecting download Etcher, and finally selecting the download for the computer you're on. Now open BalenaEtcher, select the Proxmox ISO you downloaded as the file, then select your USB as the target. Finally, select flash! You might need to give it root privileges. Finally, select flash! This takes some time, so grab a quick snack or a drink. Once the flashing is complete, remember to virtually eject your USB, then physically remove it from your computer. Next video is part two.
